Biography

In 2005, she took her first steps into the art of calligraphy by studying rik’a for about a year under Calligrapher Tahir Güçlü at the Konya Manuscript Library. In 2010, she began her undergraduate studies at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Political Sciences. In 2012, she continued her calligraphy training with Calligrapher Levent Karaduman at Yıldız Şale, affiliated with Istanbul’s National Palaces.

In 2014, she decided to pursue an academic career in the arts and graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences as an Honor Student with a GPA of 3.23. In 2015, she was accepted into the master’s program in the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at Selçuk University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, where she completed a year-long Scientific Preparation Program and took undergraduate-level courses.

In 2019, she completed her master’s degree with a thesis titled The Tradition of Ijazah and Ketebe in Calligraphy, supervised by Prof. Dr. Fatih Özkafa. In 2021, she received her written ijazah (certification) from Calligrapher Levent Karaduman after completing her training. In 2022, she began working as a lecturer in the Department of Traditional Turkish Arts at Bursa Uludağ University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
