Prof.Dr. GÜRCAN GÜLERYÜZ

Biyografi

Dr. Güleryüz was born in 1962 in Çakaltepe village of Menderes district, İzmir. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Izmir. He graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology, Department of Botany, in 1983 with the title of "Biologist". In the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics at the Institute of Health Sciences of the same university, "Linear Alkyl Benzene Sodium Sulfonate in Paramecium sp. He completed his master's thesis titled "Effects on Education" in 1986. In the same year, he was appointed as a Research Assistant to Uludağ University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Biology, Department of Botany. He received his doctorate of science title in 1992 with his thesis titled "Research on Nutrient Circulation and Productivity in Some Plant Communities of the Uludağ Alpine Zone", which he completed at Uludağ University Institute of Science, Department of Biology. U.U. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 1993. After becoming an Associate Professor in November 2000, he was appointed as an Associate Professor at the same university in October 2001 and as a Professor in 2007. He currently works as a faculty member at the same institution. The researcher took part in 10 projects, three of which were international, and participated in a scientific trip at Germany's Munich Technical and Bayreuth universities in 1991, with international project opportunities. Dr. Between May and June 2012, Güleryüz carried out scientific studies at the Bayreuth University Ecology and Environmental Research Center (BAYCEER), with the support of YÖK. The researcher has studies in the fields of Plant Ecology, Nutrient Cycle, Eco-Physiology, Seed germination physiology, Geographic Information Systems and heavy metal pollution. He is married and the father of two daughters.
