Abstract:In dictionary, the word "prayer" means, "prayer", "mercy", "divine gift", "benefit of praise", "acquittal", "praying for forgiveness", "to obey". As concept; it is used as "ritual worship" which consists of rising, read, prostrate, bend which are the most important worship of Islamic religion and one of the five conditions of Islam as mentioned in Cibril hadith. The ritual worship has directly or indirectly taken part in the area of interest of Islamic sciences and Religion Sciences due to the feelings of a human related with worshipping, serving, asking for help in trouble, to shelter to a holy power; ritual worship has taken part in the area of examination of these sciences due to the mutual effects of the human and society on the ritual worship. The "prayer" word has taken part within the words which are most mentioned in Quran and sometimes it is used as "prayer", "asking for mercy", "forgiveness", "forgiveness of sins", "acquittal", "praising", "obeying", "worshipping" and "religion". The meaning of prayer is used for the human who is always in need of his creator and other creatures but it is not concern of being used for God. The prayer of God means to forgive the servant, to mercy and for the prophet, it is meant to praise him in empery of God. The prayers of humans and angels are used in the meaning of both prayer and worship. It is mentioned in verse that the prayer of angels means to have benediction for the prophet and believers and the prayer of prophet for the believers is benediction and asking God for their forgiveness and for the believers it means an inner calm. The prayer of the believers have the meaning of worshipping as the order of the God and to have prayer and salaam for their prophet. The prayer with the meaning of worship is generally used with the verb "ekame" and with this way it is shown that it is not an ordinary verb. There are derivatives of prayer in Quran. The word "salawat" is used plural as the "worshipping place of the Jews". The word "musalla" i used as the "place of worship".
