Abstract:

In this study, spot resistance welding was applied to three different high-strenght steel materials with different current values. Usibor 1500, Ductibor 500 and DP800 material groups that have different material specious, was investigated in this thesis. The aim of thesis is investigation of mechanical property of spot resistance-welded samples. Suitable surface polishing was performed to one set of welded samples in the mounting unit. After surface polishing applied, Vikers hardness measurement was done and hardness change was observed in the welded and surrounding area of materials. Samples were classified according to current value and material strenght was measured with tensile strenght test. Three material groups (Usibor 1500, Ductibor 500 and DP800) were welded each other and in addition to this, welding process was also applied each material groups seperately. In this study, applicability of spot resistant welding to steels, possibility of welding three materials groups each other and also practically of welding of these materials separately issues were discussed. Beside this, change of material properties of steels with different current values was also discussed with this thesis. In this study, change of mechanical property of materials was investigated with the measurement of hardness and tensile strenght of materials.
