Özet
Wolf’s isotopic response, the occurrence of a skin disease unrelated to the initial disease at the site of healing of any skin disease. A 46-year-old woman presented with complaints of skin discoloration and subcutaneous induration in the right lateral chest and right lumbar region case of morphea after herpes zoster. It was learned that the patient had been treated for herpes zoster in the same regions two months ago. With the clinical and histopathological findings, the patient was diagnosed as “Wolf’s isotopic response morphea” in the healed herpes zoster area. The pathogenesis of Wolf’s isotopic response is still unclear. Granulomatous dermatitis and granuloma annulare have been reported to be the most common secondary diseases in the healed skin area. Morphea can develop at the site of healed herpes zoster and several such cases have been reported in the literature.
