Özet

Due to the increase in the number of case reports regarding peripheral neuropathies emerging perioperatively, the anaesthesiologists who have medicolegal responsibilities on this issue have become concerned. Better-understanding of the factors leading these perioperative neurological complications and taking preventative cautions will minimize such unwarranted complications. In this review, some knowledge about the incidence, etiology, pathology, and pathophysiology of peripheral neuropathies and preventative cautions that should be taken have been presented in view of the recent studies.
