The aim of the study is to determine the opinion of school administrators regarding to the
content of preparation programs for school administration. The qualitative research method and
phenomenology design were used in this study. 11 school administrators who assigned to the new
task participated from public schools in Eskişehir. The data was collected by semi-structured
interview form which involves four questions. That form includes four dimensions such as
dimensions and topics, values, knowledge and skills, courses. Frequency analysis technique was
used to analyze the data. The result of the study shows that according to dimensions and topics of
the preparation programs, administrators emphasized school process and function. According to
values of the preparation programs, administrators emphasized equality and fairness. According to
knowledge and skills of the preparation programs, administrators emphasized effective
communication, leadership, management and organization. According to courses of the
preparation programs, administrators emphasized persuasion and communication, financial
management of the school.
