The aim of this study is to investigate, reflection of an in-service education course including alternative assessment techniques on learning environment. The sample of the study consists of two science and technology teachers and their 65 students. Semi-structured observation form, unstructured interview and survey were used for data collection. Interview and observation analysis were done according to qualitative data analysis methods. Tables including frequency worth used for survey analysis. At the end of the study, it was found that both teachers used question and answer teaching technique as traditional measurement and assessment techniques, and teachers prefer to use alternative assessment techniques which prepared with little effort. Also, it can be found that students' economic condition, parents' educational background and students' interest had positive effect to develop alternative assessment techniques including rich content.
