Global Agenda in Social Sciences, İsmail Şiriner,Murat Aydın, Editör, IJOPEC PUBLICATION, London, ss.1-377, 2021
The concept of globalization is the whole enchilada of social transformations that emerged as a result of the political,
economic and social conditions that constitute today’s historical context. The development and expansion of transportation
and communication technologies are necessary tools for societies to be included in the globalization process. In general,
globalization undoubtedly has positive and negative impacts and consequences. The economic and social inequality
between the central and peripheral countries is expressed as global inequality and is observed both in the national economies
and in the socio-economic conditions of the individuals. Innovations emerging in the globalization process create
a global-local dilemma as they threaten the cultural structures and traditions of local cultures in terms of sustainability.
