Özet

The rotary shaft seal is one of the most critical parts of a rotating system. Rotary shaft seals are used in various industrial applications such as all types of automotive and power-plant machinery, industrial pumps, aircraft gas turbines... When the rotary shaft seal operates, it sometimes goes out from the seal housing. This situation is called Spring Back. Spring back causes to change in seal position and leakage occurred. In this study, we investigated assembly and disassembly forces for rotary shaft seals with FEA and also compared FEA results and experimental results.
