In order to gain the expected benefits from land consolidation projects, the carried out projects are required to provide optimum project conditions. On this account, the success of the project is stated by the aid of various indices. This study aims to present the utility of some metric parameters used in analyzing landscape fragmentation in assessing the land consolidation work. In this study the pre- and post- consolidation conditions of the villages of Serem and Beykoy (in Turkey) were used. In the light of the obtained results, it was concluded that these indicators can be used successfully to determine the success of land consolidation project. © 2007 Asian Network for Scientific Information.
