Özet

Abstract: During the excavations and research on the Sanctuary to the North of the Altar of Athena in Priene, a well-preserved lead weight was unearthed from the upper levels of a trench, which digged in 2019. This weight gains importance since it belongs to a certain context that can be dated with its finds (especially ceramics). On the weight, there is an inscription which contains ΠΡΙΗ / HMI and the depiction of a trident.

In the paper, the newly founded lead weight in Priene will be described and evaluated within the scope of regional and periodic examples.
