Abstract

Aims: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship to type of sinus pneumatization with the relationship between extracted tooth and maxillary sinus in patients who developed oroantral communication (OAC). Methods: The patients who developed OAC after maxillary extraction and underwent OAC treatment were included in the study. The predictor variable was the type of maxillary sinus pneumatization (MSP). The primary outcome was relationship between extracted tooth and maxillary sinus. The covariates were age and sex. A Kruskal-Wallis and Pearson chi-square tests were used for the statistically analysis. Results: The study completed with 429 patients who met inclusion criteria.
