Abstract

Abstract: Overhead transmission line conductors play a leading role in the transmission and distribution of energy. It is a necessity to develop automatic detection and diagnosis systems and to make use of artificial intelligence technology in this field in order to intervene immediately to malfunctions that may occur in energy transmission lines and to minimize time loss. Meeting this need may result as a result of pioneering studies in this field. For this purpose, in this study, a deep learning application has been carried out in order to classify and distinguish the conductor cables used in overhead transmission lines as multiple according to their structure and multi-bundle. As a result of the study, using the convolutional neural network model, overhead transmission line cables can be classified based on images with good accuracy.
