The time domain finite element method has been used to simulate the electromagnetic field distribution and dissipated power density inside the cavity(applicator) containing partially a dielectric material located transversally between two side-opening (load ports). The field distribution and the power density has been simulated with and without the load-openings(load ports) in order to demostrate its effects on the microwave heating processes.
