Özet

The purpose of this study is to trace different cultures and to analyze the language of a tradition of the Black Sea Region through the use of signifiers and signifieds. The trivet motif is encountered in different regions in Turkey in a variety of traditions. One of these traditions is "walking on trivet", which is commemorated in the "International Black Sea Aksu Festival".
