Özet

Today, the place known as "Paphlagonia Hadrianoupolis" is 3 km west of the area called "Viransehir" in Eskipazar district, Karabuk province , and it is scattered over the villages of Budaklar, Buyukyaylalar , Cayli and Beytarla. The remains of the ancient city today are mostly in Haci Ahmetler district, Budaklar village. It lies basically in Roman Southwestern Paphlagonia and on the borderline of the Galatian, Bithynian and Paplagonian territories. Hadrianoupolis is most important city in Paphlagonia region at Roman period while Hellenic settlements focused in Eflani and its round. Parts of the city are widely distributed in the area and they are far from each other. As a result of the conservation excavations of Eregli Museum in 2003, sites like Chruch B, and in the scientific excavations in 2006-2008, Church A, Bath A, Bath B and Late Roman Mansion were detected.
