Özet

With increasing environmental concerns, interest in natural and sustainable materials has increased. In this context, lignocellulosic fibers, especially plant-derived biomaterials such as cannabis, stand out. Cannabis has advantages such as high cellulose content, short production time, low water and chemical requirements, high strength and durability. It is also suitable for organic farming as it is environmentally friendly and enriches the soil. In this study, the mechanical properties of biocomposites formed by adding 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% cannabis fiber to PLA (polylactic acid) matrix were investigated. It was observed that the hardness value increased, but the modulus of elasticity, tensile strength and % elongation values decreased. In addition, fiber distribution was analyzed with SEM images of PLA samples with 10% and 20% cannabis additives.
