Özet
Aim: This study is aimed to investigate the effects of internet addiction on physical activity and dietary habits in high school students and to determine the correlation between them. Methods: 792 students (313 females, 479 males; mean age (SD) 15,32 (1,32) years) were included in the study. Internet Addiction Scale for Adolescents, International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form and Nutritional Habits Index were used. Independent groups t-test, one-way anova and pearson correlation analyzes were used. Results: There was negative correlation between participants' internet addiction and physical activity scores, and positive correlation between their internet addiction and eating habits index scores. As the physical activity scores of high school students increased, the risks of internet addiction and eating habits decreased. Conclusion: Consequently, it can be asserted that students doing more physical activity will keep them away from internet addiction and risky eating habits.
