This article publishes the text of the Round Table meeting, held on 13 December 2025 under the title “The Transformation of Public Hospitals”. The discussion sought in particular to exemine the forms that have emerget in public hospitals and their consequences within healty services in Turkey following the implementation of the Health Transformation Program after 2010 In addressing the transformation of public hospitals within health services, the scope of the discussion was broadened in order to reveal the historical and period-spesific charasteristics of the issue. Within this framework, alongside parellels and specificities related to similar transformations worldwide, the historical processes experienced during the Ottoman period and the republis of Turkey, as well as the health policies of the AKP goverment that began in 2002 and continue to the present, were also incorporated in to the discussion.
