Her toplumun asırlar boyunca kendi kültür dairesi içerisinde şekillenen pedagojik deneyimleri vardır. Bu pedagojik deneyimler, toplumun ülküselleştirdiği insanı elde etmek için uyguladığı çocuk ve gençleri yetiştirme biçimidir. Bir toplumun içinde genç kuşakların yetiştirilme biçimiyle ilgilenen bilim dalı da etnopedagojidir. Etnopedagoji; “bir kişinin yetiştirildiği, geliştirildiği ortamdaki sosyal normları, değerleri, deneyimi özümsediği sosyal etkileşim ve sosyal etki sürecini inceler” (Çınar, 2022). Bu kavram Çuvaş asıllı bilgin G.N. Volkov tarafından ortaya atılmış ve geliştirilmiş bir kavramdır. Volkov, bu alanda kaleme aldığı eserleriyle bilime katkı sağlamakla kalmamış, aynı zamanda etnopedagoji alanında çok değerli uzmanları da yetiştirmiştir. Bu uzmanlardan biri de T.N. Petrova’dır. Volkov’un izinden yürüyen Petrova’nın da halk pedagojisi ve etnopedagoji alanında kaleme aldığı eserler de gerek Çuvaş halkının eğitimine gerekse diğer etnik grupların eğitimine ışık tutmaktadır. Bu yazıda Petrova’nın 2000 yılında bilim dünyasına kazandırdığı “Dünya uygarlığının bir olgusu olarak Çuvaş pedagojisi” başlıklı eseri üzerinde durulmuştur.
Every society has pedagogical experiences that have been shaped within its own cultural circle for centuries. These pedagogical experiences are the way society raises children and young people in order to achieve the idealized human being. The branch of science that deals with the way young generations are raised in a society is ethnopedagogy. Ethnopedagogy; “examines the process of social interaction and social influence in which a person assimilates social norms, values, experience in the environment in which they are raised and developed” (Çınar, 2022). This concept was introduced and developed by the Chuvash scholar G.N. Volkov. Volkov not only contributed to science with his works in this field, but also trained many valuable experts in the field of ethnopedagogy. One of these experts is T.N. Petrova. Following in Volkov's footsteps, Petrova's works in the field of folk pedagogy and ethnopedagogy shed light on the education of both the Chuvash people and other ethnic groups. This article focuses on Petrova's work titled “Chuvash pedagogy as a phenomenon of world civilization”, which she brought to the world of science in 2000.
