Z - -dependence of partial and total photon interactions in some biological samples

Özet
The effective atomic numbers for total and partial photon interactions of 11 different biological samples have
been determined using a new approximation in the energy region 10±150 keV. In this study, `mass attenuation
coefficients' for the various individual interactions have been calculated. The effective atomic numbers have been
obtained by considering the Z--dependence of photon cross-sections and the variation of Z--exponents with energy.
