Özet
Adapting to the changing world is also one of the requirements of professional success. Individuals are tasked with meeting their own and the environment's needs while achieving their expectations and goals related to their profession. The study investigated what personal factors could be related to the career adaptation of school counselors with many problems and uncertainties in issues such as work, role, and position. For this purpose, a model was proposed that balanced life skills mediate between school counselors' personality traits and career adaptability. Data collected from a sample of 301 (225 female, 76 male) counselors working in schools were used in the study. As a result, it was determined that balanced life basic skills mediate (full mediation in the personality trait of agreeableness, partial mediation in other personality traits) the relationship between personality traits and career adaptability. Theoretical and practical results were discussed to increase the expectation of positive results regarding the career development of school counselors.
