Özet

The academic district of Bursa Uludağ University Görükle Campus was designed by Sezar Aygen by repeating the original architectural form in order to achieve visual harmony. Designed in 1978, the construction process on the campus started in accordance with Aygen's design, but the buildings added over time have led to divergences from the original design. This study aims to evaluate the visual harmony of the buildings added to the academic district with the original design. The fractal dimension was used as a method of analysis to assess the level of similarity between the original form and the buildings added later. This paper is one of the pioneering studies that use fractal dimension analysis to reveal the visual harmony between architectural products in a bounded area. The findings show that the later buildings are not in complete visual harmony with the original design, creating visual diversity in the academic district.
