AI in MENA Education Systems: Local Innovations and Global Implications, Tendai Charles,Cristopher Hill, Editör, IGI Global yayınevi, Pennsylvania, ss.365-413, 2026
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping higher education, enabling personalization, efficiency, and innovation. Yet its impact on the psychological, social, and ethical wellbeing of students and educators remains underexamined, especially in rapidly evolving regions like the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This chapter introduces the AI-CARE Framework, a multidimensional model for ethically and wellbeing-centered AI integration in education. Its six dimensions (Agency & Autonomy, Inclusive Design, Compassionate Integration, Adaptive Wellbeing Support, Resilience Building, and Ethical Governance) draw on education, psychology, and technology ethics to explain how AI affects human flourishing. The framework identifies causal pathways, contextual factors, and practical tools such as the AI-CARE Scorecard to support implementation and research. By centering wellbeing in AI design and governance, the AI-CARE Framework offers a roadmap for healthier, fairer, and more sustainable learning ecosystems globally and in MENA.
