Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki üniversitelerin sosyal bilimler enstitüleri bünyesindeki Türk Din Musikisi Ana Bilim Dalları’nda 1982-2020 seneleri arasında tamamlanan lisansüstü tez çalışmalarının konularını incelemektir. Böylece, lisansüstü eğitimin bir parçası ve sonucu olan bu tezlerin niteliksel özelliklerinden birinin ve müzik alanına katkılarının ortaya çıkarılması hedeflenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı bu çalışma, amacına göre betimsel bir araştırmadır ve genel tarama modelindedir. Araştırma kapsamına giren 287 adet tezin incelenmesi sonucunda elde edilen nitel veriler frekans analizi ve yüzdelik dilim hesaplamalarıyla nicel veriye dönüştürülmüştür. Bunun sonucunda 169 adet konu başlığı tespit edilmiştir. Türk Din Musikisi Ana Bilim Dalı’nda söz konusu tarih aralığında en çok Türk müziğinin temel kaynakları kabul edilen edvârların tercümesi, güfte mecmualarının incelenmesi ve bestekâr hayatlarının araştırılıp eserlerinin analiz edilmesi konularının ele alındığı anlaşılmıştır.
The aim of this research is to examine the topics of the graduate thesis studies completed between 1982-2020 in the Departments of Turkish Religious Music within the social sciences institutes of universities in Turkey. Thus, it is aimed to reveal one of the qualitative features of these theses, which are a part and result of graduate education, and their contributions to the field of music. This study, in which qualitative research methods are used, is a descriptive research according to its purpose and is in the general screening model. The qualitative data obtained as a result of the examination of 286 theses within the scope of the research were converted into quantitative data by frequency analysis and percentile calculations. As a result, 169 topics were identified. In the Department of Turkish Religious Music, the translation of the edvars, which are considered the main sources of Turkish music in the said date range, the examination of lyric magazines and the investigation of the lives of composers and the analysis of their works within the specified date range.
