While cross-border transfers of personal data are an essential element of the globalized world, they also carry various risks in terms of data protection. Recent changes made to the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), which were published in the Official Journal on 12.03.2024, aim to bring its framework concerning cross-border transfers in line with current international standards. This article systematically analyzes the new legal framework of crossborder data transfers within PDPL.
