Summary

This section discusses the transformation of agricultural production from a linear to a circular model, emphasizing resource efficiency, waste minimization, and ecosystem preservation. Circular economy practices such as organic waste management, water reuse, soil health conservation, and value chain circularity are explored. Case studies from Maryland, and Vietnam illustrate successful applications of circular farming principles. Furthermore, the importance of supportive policies and incentives at international and national levels is emphasized, with examples from the EU, the Netherlands, and China. The European Green Deal and Farm to Fork Strategy are also highlighted as frameworks integrating circular economy into agriculture. Overall, this part underlines how circular economy approaches can enhance the resilience and sustainability of agricultural systems.
