Arap şiiri, Cahiliyeden modern döneme kadar şekil ve tema bakımından köklü değişimlere tanıklık etmiştir. Asırlar içerisinde kaside yapısına yeni açılımlar getirildiği gibi Arap şiirinin alamet-i farikası olan nazım anlayışında da önemli dönüşümler yaşanmıştır. Kaçınılmaz olan değişimden içerik de nasibini almış, zühd ve mücûn (müstehcenlik) gibi yeni temalar Arap şiirine girmiştir. Ancak şu var ki Arap şiirinde bazı kalıp ifadeler Cahiliyeden günümüze, herhangi bir değişikliğe uğramadan süregelmiştir. Arap şairlerinin müstakil hikmet şiirleri yahut kaside içine serpiştirilmiş nasihatname türünde hayat tecrübesi içeren beyitlere yer verdiklerinde, daha sonra standartlaşmış olduğunu fark ettiğimiz belirli birtakım klişe ifadeler kullandıkları müşahede edilmiştir. Klişeleşmiş bu ifadelerden biri olan İze’l-mer’u, Arap şairinin hayat tecrübesini hikmet formunda aktarmak için kullandığı bir kalıp haline dönüşmüştür. Şart cümlesi olarak beyit başında gelen bu kalıp ifade ile şair, hayatta belirli şartlarda hep belirli şeylerin vücuda geldiğine işaret eder. Geniş bir tecrübe ve derin bir gözlemin semeresi olan bu şart-cevap cümleleriyle şair, edebiyatını bilgeliği ile süslemiş olur. Bu çalışmada söz konusu ifadenin Arap şiirinde bir klişe olduğu ve şairlerin bunu hikmet sözüne vasıta kıldığı varsayımından hareket edilmiş ve bu açıdan Arap şiirinde konu ölçeğinde bir tarama amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma konusunun Türk ve Arap dünyasındaki Arap edebiyatı araştırmacıları tarafından daha önce ele alınmamış olmasının çalışmanın özgün değerini teşkil ettiği söylenebilir.
Arabic poetry has witnessed radical changes in form and theme from the Age of Ignorance to the modern period. Over the centuries, new expansions have been brought to the qasida structure, and there have been important transformations in the understanding of verse, which is the hallmark of Arabic poetry. The content also got its share from the inevitable law of change, and new themes such as asceticism and mucûn entered Arabic poetry. However, there are some patterns in Arabic poetry that have survived from the Ignorance to the present without any change. It has been observed that when Arab poets included individual wisdom poems or couplets containing life experience in the type of advice interspersed in eulogies, they used certain cliché expressions that we later realized were standardized. "Ize'l-mer'u", one of these stereotypical expressions, has become a pattern used by the Arabic poet to convey his life experience in the form of wisdom. With this pattern expression that comes at the beginning of the couplet as a conditional sentence, the poet points out that certain things always come into existence under certain conditions in life. With these condition-answer sentences, which are the fruit of extensive experience and deep observation, the poet adorns his literature with his wisdom. In this study, it is assumed that the expression in question is a cliché in Arabic poetry and that the poets use it as a tool for the word of wisdom, and in this respect, it is aimed to scan the Arabic poetry on a subject scale. It can be said that the original value of the study is that the research subject has not been dealt with by the researchers of Arabic literature in the Turkish and Arab world before.
