This study explores how Education for Sustainable Development can be integrated into German as a Foreign Language teacher training through the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, using the course “Intercultural Learning and Teaching” as an example. It examines how students' perspectives evolve throughout the course and how they perceive the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development in their training. Data was gathered through two online questionnaires and a group interview. The results show that students' connection to sustainability goals shifts throughout the semester, likely influenced by course discussions. Overall, students view the integration of Education for Sustainable Development positively, recognizing its value for their professional growth and language development.
