A Survey of the Definitions for Style and a Suggestion for a New One. This study
deals with the definitions of style both in the Westem and Islamic literattire and has the aim of
having a definition within this frame. Style definitions in the Westem literature are divided and
taken into consideration as old and modem approaches. With respect to modem approach, we
divided the definitions in three sub categories as author-centred definitions; reader-centred
definitions; wm:k-centred definitions. Definition efforts in
