Özet

Fifty-four Levantine vipers, Macrovipera lebetinus (Linnaeus, 1758) (27 female female, 16 aa, and 11 juveniles) collected from 14 provinces of T & uuml;rkiye between April 2007 and May 2020 were examined helminthologically. This is the first helminthological study on M. lebetinus collected in T & uuml;rkiye. Two species of Cestoda (Mesocestoides sp., Ophiotaenia europea), 5 species of Nematoda (Abbreviata sp., Ophidascaris excavata, Paracapillaria (Ophidiocapillaria) sp., Pharyngodon sp., Strongyloides sp.), and 2 species of Acanthocephala (Sphaerirostris corvi and unidentified cystacanths) were found. These species are considered to be common species of snakes. Paracapillaria (Ophidiocapillaria) sp. represents a record for M. lebetinus. Abbreviata sp., Mesocestoides sp., Ophidascaris excavata, Paracapillaria sp., Pharyngodon sp., Strongyloides sp., and Sphaerirostsris corvi represent new records for snakes of T & uuml;rkiye.
