Abstract: In this article, the discourse of New Eurasianism is critically deconstructed. Thus, it is aimed to analyse the language of political sovereignty based on Russian ideology constructed with geocultural and geographical representations. New Eurasianism was chosen as the subject of research because it represents the knowledge production model of the classical understanding. Rooted in the political and identity crises in Russian history, Neo-Eurasianism is a post-Soviet imperial ideology updated according to the political conjuncture after 1991. According to Dugin, Eurasianism is the name of a humanitarian and sublime bloc that supports all oppressed peoples against the Atlanticist order. The Russian-centred Eurasian Empire, which represents the continental power, is surrounded by possible Rimland (enemy) areas that can serve the Atlanticist power from the north, east, south and west. According to the discourse, at the centre of Eurasianism, besides geographical reasons, there is the Russian State as the 3rd Rome, both theological and geopolitical successor of the Byzantine-Constantinople Church. Again, the Russian people constitute the main and ruling core of the Eurasian empire with geocultural representations such as civilisation builder and carrier. The new Eurasianism does not carry normative values and is a political construct with clear contradictions. The place of Eurasianism in world political practice is highlighted by the fact that an understanding (through Vladimir Putin) is in power that sees Eurasianism as the only way for Russia's future and tries to realise it. As a matter of fact, the fact that it constituted the foundations of the Russian-Ukrainian War that started in February 2022 can be considered as its reflection on real-politics.
