Throughout history, translation activities were sometimes carried out through individual efforts or by certain scholars with a passion for learning, but the main translation activities were carried out through translation schools established in different periods. Among the translation schools operating in various parts of the world, the Alexandria School stands out in particular, having brought together Greek civilization and the Eastern world; The School of Jundishapur facilitated encounters between Iran, Greece, and India; translation schools established in Sicily and Spain introduced the Islamic and Western worlds to each other, making translation the most important tool in intercultural relations. One of the most important translation schools, the House of Wisdom school, founded by the Abbasids in Baghdad, brought the deep-rooted scientific and philosophical traditions of Greek philosophy, Iran, India, Mesopotamia, and Egypt into the Islamic world of thought, thus ushering in a whole new era in the Islamic intellectual sphere. The House of Wisdom, which played a stimulating role in the development of the Andalusian cultural movement, subsequently guided translation activities carried out in various parts of Spain and Sicily for approximately three centuries from the eleventh century onwards, primarily through the translation school established in Toledo. The Toledo School, or Toledo School of Translators, whose importance was first recognized by Amable Jourdain and whose existence was established with the publication of the initial results of his research in 1819, has become an important subject of research in the history of translation due to the  significant impact of the translations produced there on the West. The aim of this study is to give information about the Toledo School of Translators and focus on the impact of the translation activities carried out at this school on Europe.
