(Priene’den Yeni Bir Kurşun Ağırlık)

Priene’de Athena Altarı’nın Kuzeyindeki Kutsal Alanda sürdürülen kazı ve araştırmalar esmasında, 2019 yılında açılan bir sondajın üst seviyelerinden oldukça iyi korunmuş bir kurşun ağırlık gün yüzüne çıkartılmıştır. Bu ağılık belli ve buluntularıyla (özellikle de seramik) tarihlenebilen bir kontekste ait olmasıyla önem kazanmaktadır. Ağırlığın üzerinde ΠΡΙΗ / HMI yazıtı ve üç dişli yaba tasviri yer almaktadır.

Bildiride Priene’de yeni bulunan kurşun ağırlık tanıtılarak, bölgesel ve dönemsel örnekleri içerisinde değerlendirilecektir.

A New Lead Weight from Priene

 

During the excavations and research in the Sanctuary to the North of the Altar of Athena in Priene, a well-preserved lead weight was unearthed from the upper levels of a trench (drilling) opened in 2019. This weight gains importance as it belongs to a certain context that can be dated with its finds (especially ceramics). On the weight there is the inscription ΠΡΙΗ / HMI and the depiction of a trident.

In the paper, the newly found lead weight in Priene will be described and evaluated within the scope of regional and periodic measurements.
