Background/Aims: H. pylori-induced hyperproliferation of the gastric epithelium may have a critical role in gastric carcinogenesis. H. pylori-related hyperproliferation and reversibility of hyperproliferation after eradication therapy is still controversial. Therefore, we have evaluated the effects of H. pylori and its eradication on gastric antral epithelial proliferation.
