This study has been conducted in the health sector. Two hundred and sixty-six employees from five different governmental hospitals in Ankara and Aksaray have participated in the research. The data have been collected by questionnaire technique. By presenting the relationship between the work-related stress levels of the employees and the affective commitment to the organization, the effect of the stress on affective commitment is measured. The work-related stress is caused by factors such as the inadequacy and ambiguity of the role, the negative measures and actions of the company and co-workers, work overload, physical and emotional exhaustion, pressure of performance expectations, organizational injustice, inadequate motivation, unfulfilled professional expectations, inability to keep up with changes, and not having enough knowledge or experience on the subject. The affective commitment, on the other hand, consist of components such as the employee's happiness for being in the organization and the deemed importance of the organization, the acceptance of the organization's problems as if they were one's own, having pleasure for being in the organization and desiring to remain in the organization, and devotion to the organization. The study found out that work-related stress has a negative impact on the affective commitment to the organization.
