Abstract
We report our latest results, obtained in the frame of the LAA project at CERN, on developing fast (< 1 ns) gaseous detectors with solid photocathodes. Such detectors could be used for the readout of the crystal calorimeters, preshower counters and in RICH. New efficient photocathodes are presented as well as new solid scintillators. Preliminary results of the test of small prototype BaF2 calorimeters and pre-preshower detectors for e/gamma rejection are also presented.
