Abstract

In the last few years our group has focused on developing various designs of spark-protected micropattern gaseous detectors featuring resistive electrodes instead of traditional metallic ones: resistive microstrip counters, resistive gas electron multiplier, resistive micro mesh gaseous structure. These detectors combine in one design the best features of resistive plate chamber (spark-protection) and micropattern detectors (a high position resolution).
