Özet

Despite growing discussion of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, research on the use of AI-generated visuals in teaching materials remains limited. There is a need for a deeper understanding of how instructors are adopting AI to create their own stories and transform them into tailored visuals for teaching materials. This study addresses this gap by exploring the key factors that influence utilization, performance, and user satisfaction when integrating AI-generated visuals into teaching materials. We collected data from 210 instructors through an online survey and analyzed it using "Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling" (PLS-SEM) and "Artificial Neural Network" (ANN) methods. The results indicate that instructors' decisions to use AI-generated visuals in their teaching materials are significantly predicted by their trust in the technology, their confidence in using it (computer self-efficacy), and how well they perceive the AI technology fits their teaching task. The results show that utilization of AI-generated visuals is positively associated with instructors' teaching performance and satisfaction. These findings suggest that educational institutions should prioritize strategies that build trust in AI, enhance instructors' self-efficacy, and promote the effective integration of AI visuals into teaching materials to maximize the benefits of this emerging technology.
