In this article, we introduce the average square stress matrix ASS(G) for a connected graph G. We investigate the properties of this matrix, establish bounds on its eigenvalues, and define the average square stress energy EASS (G) as the sum of the absolute values of its eigenvalues. Furthermore, we discuss its potential relevance in chemistry by comparing EASS (G) with the π-electron energy of polyaromatic hydrocarbons.
