Bu çalışmada, COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde hemşirelerin belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük ve sabır düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlandı. Çalışma, Ocak- Mart 2022 tarihleri arasında Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Ana Bina, Kadın Doğum-Çocuk Hastalıkları Binası ve Kalp Merkezi Binalarında görev yapan 120 hemşire ile yapılan tanımlayıcı tipte bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın verileri ‘’Demografik Bilgiler Formu”, “Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği’’ ve ‘’Sabır Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplandı. Araştırmada hemşirelerin Belirsizliğe Tahammülsüzlük Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 36,55±8,38 ve Sabır Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması 37,08±7,45 olarak bulundu. Belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük ve sabır ölçeği toplam puanları ile alt boyutları yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim düzeyi, meslekte çalışma yılı, COVID-19 pandemi sürecinde vardiya düzeni, COVID-19 servisinde çalışma durumuna göre karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmadı (p>0,05). Belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük ölçeği toplam puanı ile sabır ölçeği toplam puanı arasında ters yönlü zayıf düzeyde anlamlı ilişki bulundu (r=-0,287; p=0,001). Bekâr hemşirelerin, ileriye yönelik kaygı puanı evlilere göre daha yüksek saptandı (p=0,049). Belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük ölçeği toplam puanı ile sabır ölçeği toplam puanı arasında ters yönlü zayıf düzeyde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki ve belirsizliğe tahammülsüzlük puanı yüksek hemşirelerin sabır puanının düşük olduğu bulunmuştur.
The study aimed to examine the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and the patience levels of nurses during the COVID -19 pandemic. The study is a descriptive study conducted with 120 nurses working Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospi tal Main Building, Gynecology-Pediatrics Building, and Heart Center Buildings between January and March 2022. The data of the study were collected using the "Demographic Information Form," "Intolerance to Uncertainty Scale," and "Patience Scale." Nurses' Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale mean total score was 36.55±8.38, and the Patience Scale total score mean was 37.08±7.45. When the total scores of the intolerance of uncertainty, patience scale, and sub-dimensions were compared according to age, gender, education level, years of employment, shift order during the COVID-19 pandemic, and working status in the COVID-19 service, no statistically significant difference was found (p>0.05). A weak and inverse significant relationship was found between the total score of the intolerance of uncertainty scale and the total score of the patience scale (r=-0.287; p=0.001). The prospective anxiety score of single nurses was found to be higher than that of married ones (p=0.049). It was found that there was a weak, statistically significant relationship between the total score of the intolerance of uncertainty scale and the total score of the patience scale; nurses with a high intolerance of uncertainty score had a low patience score.
