Özet

Computers can efficiently be used as a teaching tool for early childhood education. In this work, a computer-assisted educational game, called Computer-Smart Little Mathematicians, is developed. This computer-assisted educational game demonstrates that computers can efficiently be used as a teaching tool for early childhood education. The proposed game has a 3D virtual scene as a platform for the game and has an appropriate teaching structure for early childhood education. The game consists of three phases with four levels each. Every phase uses different device to interact with the virtual world; keyboard, mouse and a heptic arm are used to move or rotate the objects. Objects are modeled in 3D and come with different colors. The game environment and interacting with the game is implemented using OpenGL and C++. The developed educational game is tested on a few children and successful feedbacks are received.
