Primary School Science and Technology Curriculum renewed in 2004, loaded parents with a couple of new responsibilities. Purpose of this study is to inform parents about what they can do to help students within the new system using Parent Guide Material and to evaluate the efficiency of this material. Case study was employed in the study. The research was conducted with 12 volunteer parents who have primary school children in a central school of Trabzon. Semi-structured interviews were used as data collection tools in the study. Considering the results of the research, it was concluded that parents do not have sufficient information about constructivist approach, however; prepared Parent Guide Material provided the necessary information to parents about their duties in terms of constructivist approach. In addition, it was another conclusion that many parents who support the idea that old system was much better changed their ideas after Parent Guide Material.
