Özet

In this study, the effect of nitrogen doses on yield and quality characteristics of Gediz-75 durum wheat and Flamura-85 bread wheat varieties was investigated. The study was conducted in Bursa ecological conditions in 2007-2009 seasons using different nitrogen doses of 0, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 kg da(-1). As a result of two years in this study, while nitrogen doses show the differences on the plant height, number of grains and weight per spike, spike number per m(2) and the rate of protein, have been negligible effects on, grain yield, 1000 kernel weight and hectoliter weight. At the end of the study could be recommended economic optimum nitrogen dose was determined for Gediz-75 16 kg da(-1) and for Flamura-85 17 kg da(-1), respectively. However, each year, these values must be recalculated taking into consideration the changing input rates.
