Özet

Atmospheric pressure plasma (APP) technologies have recently become a method of great interest in the surface treatment of materials. It is frequently preferred due to the lack of vacuum equipment and has a wide range of applications in a variety of fields. Surface modification using plasma is an effective and economical surface treatment technique used to improve the surface properties of many materials. This comprehensive review begins with a basic introduction to plasma technology, followed by an examination of plasma generation and its principles. The versatility of the process is highlighted by emphasizing different plasma discharges. The impact of surface properties on changing fundamental structures and process parameters (discharge type, gas atmosphere, ignition type, driving frequency, excitation mode, electrode configuration and geometry, etc.) is examined in detail. This review also discussed the surface modification applications of cold plasma and how changes in surface properties can be achieved by various surface treatments such as grafting, deposition, etching, cleaning and activation are discussed comprehensively.
