Özet

Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory disease affecting 1-3% of population. Advances in the pathogenesis of psoriasis and biotechnology have led to the development of targeted therapy named biologic agents. in this review, general information on biologic drugs are presented and literature on four biologic agents available in our country for moderate to severe plaque psoriasis has been summarized. Mechanisms of action, indications and dosage, results of clinical studies and safety profiles of each biologic agent are discussed. (Turkderm 2008; 42 Suppl 2: 42-50)
