Abstract

Centaurea kaynakiae Daskin & Yilmaz sp. nova (Asteraceae) is described and illustrated from northwest Anatolia, Turkey. It is closest to C. odyssei, but differs by its distinctly petiolate and longer basal and median leaves, and spheroidal rather than prolate, pollen grains.
