Proje Özeti

Bursa Uludağ Üniversity has been invited to be an associate partner.

The involvement of the Associated Partners in InterHEd encompasses the following: - - Dissemination of the project results through various channels and in whatever form is deemed more appropriate, through internal university communications or external social media platforms. Engagement with the project’s activities by participating in the European or national multiplier events and/or providing feedback on the policy recommendations, to the extent that your organisation considers necessary.

  • The project seeks to apply intersectionality in Higher Education beyond an additive logic: paying attention not only to the inequalities that add up but also to how they interact in the classroom.

  • InterHEd fills a theoretical and practical gap regarding the need for pedagogical resources among students and teaching staff to address specific experiences of inequality in Higher Education.

Universitat de Vic Vic-Universitat Central de Catalunya (UVic) is a university devoted to higher education and research. This project involves the participation of different research teams at UVic, such as the Center for Interdisciplinary Gender Studies (CEIG), within the framework of the Gender Studies Group: Translation, Literature, History and Communication (GETLHIC) (2021 SGR 399) which counts with previous successful experiences leading projects on equality and diversity, such as: “Zoom Out” (Erasmus+), “CROSSROADS” (Erasmus+), and “Connected equalities” (REC). Moreover, InterHEd also includes the participation of the research group on Audiovisual Translation, Communication and Territory at UVic (TRACTE)(SGR 2021 814 GRC) and the Research Group on Aquatic Ecology (GEA). Among other relevant experiences for the InterHEd project, we find CEIG’s participation in several projects on equality and diversity, such as: “Zoom Out” (Erasmus+), “CROSSROADS” (Erasmus+), and “Connected equalities” (REC).

TU Dortmund University, primarily focused on technical and educational research is also highly devoted to social issues from a scientifically rigorous point of view. Through the Professorship of Higher Education in the Center for Higher Education, TU Dortmund offers a wide variety of seminars and programs dealing with equality and inclusion. Among other international initiatives, one of the most enriching experiences for InterHEd is the participation of the Professorship of Higher Education in the project “Students as agents of change” (2022-2023), in which the students co-created a research-based flipped classroom seminar on the topics of diversity management and inclusion. The Jagiellonian University in Krakow hosts the Institute of Sociology, one of the main research centres in Poland that focuses its activity in the field of teaching and social work, as well as in the development of pedagogy as a discipline dealing with equality. Among other experiences relevant to the InterHEd project, the Jagiellonian University in Krakow has participated in the projects: MINDtheGEPs, focused on changing institutions by developing gender equality plans (Horizon 2020); and PrEcIOUS, focused on promoting pluralistic education in European universities to combat invisible LGBTQ+ related discrimination (Erasmus+ 2022).

Specializing in the creation of inclusive, diverse and accessible environments, the Lyon1 University Equality-Diversity Office has been involved in various equality-related initiatives in close contact with the Inter-ministerial Delegation for the Fight against Racism, Anti-Semitism and LGBTI Hatred in France, as well as with the European Commission. The Unit is also a member of the HORIZON-WIDERA-2022-GENDER -Prize Call for Awards (2022-2023) projects on gender equality and inclusive accessibility.
