Proje Özeti

Aims: To explore the effects of different micro- and nano-plastics on the epithelial barrier

Methods: organ-on-a-chip applications, transepithelial resistance (TEER), confocal microscopy, FITC-labeled dextran passage, multicolor imaging techniques, and proximity extension assay (OLINK)

Major findings: The effects of polystyrene, polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polytetrafluoroethylene, white fluorescent polymer microspheres have been evaluated.
